Happy Birthday Jeremiah!

It’s hard to imagine that one year ago today, a little boy was born under such circumstances that he was unwanted and abandoned. Born into poverty…future unknown. Little did he know, that God was watching over him. God had a plan for him that would change not only his life, but the lives of many people. Although he may not have felt the physical love of parents at his birth, he had a Heavenly Father that loved him unconditionally.

Several thousand miles away, there was also a family that loved him. A family that had already been praying for his safety and care. Although this family didn’t know he existed, they also loved him unconditionally.

What a remarkable story of this little boy, Jeremiah, fusing together with our family. A year later, living in a different world…one that is full of love and happiness.

It saddens my heart when I think what kind of life Jeremiah may have had. A life of poverty, filth, and suffering. Even though Jeremiah has been ‘rescued’, there are millions more in the same predicament. I want to save them all…but that would be impossible. For now, I can pray for them. Pray that they are given the same opportunities as Jeremiah has been given. Pray that other families open up their hearts and homes. Pray that awareness of the severity of this problem continues to rise.

Happy Birthday Jeremiah…you are loved, you are so very loved!
